Windows 10: Battery status 100% fully charged

Hello,
I am using a new lenovo laptop with windows 10 pro on it (not OEM).
I have calibrated my battery because it's status was "100% plugged in, charging".
Now after calibration, when it reaches 100% the status is "100% Fully charged", but I think the battery is being charged non stop because it doesnt go under 100%.
I believe this is not healthy for the battery so Im looking for a way to get the "100% plugged in, not charging" status. can I configure it through windows?

I did an upgrade to Windows 10. No, the laptop doesn't turn on when unplugged, but will occaisionally run on the battery when unplugged, but not frequently. When plugged in, the battery status is Fully charged (100%).

Nokia Lumia 630 error

My Nokia Lumia 630 battery is stuck at 99% charge. It isn't getting to fully 100% battery charge.

Every laptop and cell phone out there are designed to charge the battery to 100% and keep it there when plugged in. Modern Lithium Ion batteries do not have "memories" like the old Ni-Cads and others did. Once the battery is charged to 100%, the carging circuitry will trickle charge it to keep it at 100%. If you don't want your battery to stay at 100%, then you will have to unplug the laptop from power.

 

Nope not every laptop is designed that way Lenovo LT are not they will when plugged in will only charge when the battery is below a set percentage and then charge it to 100% then quit charging.

Temperature is the killer to the battery, not the trickle charge:

You need to read further as keeping the battery 100% with a trickle charge will reduce the life of a battery.

 

OK, @labeeman, how about you advise the OP what to do instead of just contradicting my opinion?

 

The setting he is looking for is not in Windows it should be in his Bios as I do not have his model LT (whatever that is) I cannot advise him. I also have experience with short battery life when they are on a constant trickle charge.

the model is ideapad 510s-14ikb type 80uv
I pulled off the charger and let the battery reduce to 98%, plugged it again and since then the status is "98% available (plugged in, not charging) - is it still on trickle charging (I believe so because it doesnt go down from 98%)

 

My Toshiba laptop automatically stops charging at 80%. It's done that since new, when it was running W 8. Running W10 now. I suppose stopping at 80% is better for battery longevity...just an educated guess.

 

Pull off the charger and drop it to 90%. Then put it back on the charger. I was working on an Ideapad Flex 4. When I first looked at the charge, it maxed out at 97%. I dropped to 90% and then plugged it in again. Finally went to 100%.
