Battery will still goes "plugged in, charging" after I removed the power cord

Hello,I have a lenovo thinkbook and is currently running windows 10. Every now and then, if I finished charging my laptop and unplug the cord doesnt matter if the laptop was dead or alive, the battery status would still persisted on "plugged in, charging" when obviously it wasn't because I just unplugged it. The charging LED indicator would also still be alive. And the bigger problem is that if this condition arises, plugging the cord back in wouldn't change the battery status, and the battery would NOT charge at all; I'd be forced to use my laptop until it died 0% battery and drain every

  2. Plugged in but battery does not charge

If the laptop works without the battery then charger is functioning correctly. Take a cloth with a bit of rubbing alcohol on it (or some on-the-go alcohol swabs), and clean the metal contacts that connect your battery to your laptop.

Make sure to install all Windows important updates.

Install latest versions of your laptop device drivers you can download the latest device drivers from the device manufacturer or from your laptop manufacturer website.

    Step 1

    1. Shutdown your laptop.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Connect the AC power adapter to your laptop.

    4. Power on the laptop

    5. Open the Device Manager by typing Devmgmt.msc into Start Menu or from Control Panel.

    6. Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1).

Battery will still goes "plugged in, charging" after I removed the power cord

    Plugged in, not charging

The battery in my computer is at 1% and it is plugged in, but it isn't charging. It just says plugged in, not charging. It has turned off a few times and said that the wattage of the ac power adapter couldn't be determined, but it usually goes away when I unplug and then plug back in the power cord. How do I fix this?
