    Best free anti-virus for Windows?


    I have been using Avast but it's their relentless plugging of services and unwanted apps is what annoys me.

    Today it gave me an update notification saying it's been updated to latest version, and there was Okay button. What I failed to notice is the pre checked checkbox at the bottom. I saw it when I clicked okay and it was too late to do anything. I was not able to read anything but I knew what it was. It was 'Also install Avast safe and secure browser' checkbox. And sure enough, It has been installed.

    Now comes the frustrating part. I could not locate the Uninstaller. Somehow it glitched out and I could not uninstall it. So as a result I uninstalled avast and manually killed the browser processes and deleted the browser folder. Cleaned the registry using CCleaner to remove it's references.

    Now i am looking for a different free anti-virus.

    I need to istall Window 10 anti virus and marvate

    Windows 10 comes with in-built Anti-Virus program Windows Defender.

    It depends on your own preferences if you would want to use another Anti-Virus program.

    Help With Choosing Anti-Virus Software

    Hey guys

    I would like to know what some of the best anti virus programs are.

    I am currently running NOD32 and the Nvidia firewall (came with mobo) and I find they slow down my games (singleplayer)

    The guys over in the gaming threads suggested to just disable them while playing but I'm not sure I want to just in case you know.

    So yeah bassically if you could give me some suggestions for anti virus and I will probably go back to using the windows firewall instead.
