Windows 10: Best way to browse through PHOTOS and VIDEOS in one folder with arrow keys

Apparently I have become retarded because I can't seem to figure out anymore how to browse through all the photos AND videos in a particular folder, USING A STANDARD WINDOWS INCLUDED APP. Preferably, I don't want to download any 3rd party app.

I remember I always could just do this with Windows Photo Viewer or Windows Media Viewer or whatever it was called, but now any Windows app I try (including old ones from Windows 7) can either only show photos or only videos, or they don't support simply browsing with arrow keys.

Don't tell me this isn't possible anymore.

WINDOWS 10 -- Photos App Why cant I use my arrow keys to scroll through photos in a folder?

I think I have found the cause for this problem. If the folder which the viewed photo is in isn't in the Folders section of the Photos App, I don't get any arrows and cannot browse through the pics. If I am viewing a picture in Pictures folder which is in
the list of folders in Photos app, I can skim through them with arrow keys.

I really hope someone finds a solution to this. This started happening for me after an update.

 

Photos does not display browsing arrows for today's pics

My Photos app is not showing left and right arrows for today's pictures. Pictures for previous days still display arrows that let me browse through a folder. Is there some setting that I have mistakenly set in Photos that has turned off the arrows???

 

down arrow key stopped working

My razor lycosa down arrow key decided to not respond at some point today. The other ones work and so does the numpad arrow if i turn off the numlock. Sounds like its just broken and im screwed, but any suggestions?
