  1. Best Way To Go From 1709 and 1803 To 1809 Without Screwing The Pooch

I use brute force to block updates and I really, really like the way my 2 computers work at the moment. Whatever newfangled "upgrades" MS thinks that they have given the end user during the last couple or more years more than likely I have no use for but there comes a point when even I believe that it is time to move on be that as it may. Besides once I get on 1803 I can stay there for at least a couple or three more years : )

Sooo...what with 1909 imminent and the fact that I seldom do this I seem to have forgotten the best way to go from 1709 and 1803 to ONLY 1809. I realize that this will undoubtedly wreck havoc with personal settings and my penchant for mucking around in the GPE but I believe once I get to 1809 I can find my way back to some resemblance of having the computers perform in the manner that I am currently accustomed to. I really, really do not want to do a clean install with 1809 but rather just keep all existing programs and move up the ladder so to speak. Any advice for slackers on how to go from 1709 and 1803 to 1809 (different machines) with the least amount of pain and risk involved : ) Win 10 Pro. Thanks.

    :)

Unable to update Windows 10 Pro version 1709 to 1803

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1709 to the latest version 1803 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

    • Updated drivers
    • Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
    • Unplugged the printer

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

    • 0xc1900101
    • 0x80070643

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

    Thank you.

Anyone Use Horizon DataSys Programs Reboot Restore Rx/RollBack Rx

It's really only going to be your feature updates. So The Fall and Spring Creator Updates. 1703, 1709, 1803, 1809, and the forthcoming 1903 will all affect these programs. Since Microsoft releases these a couple times a year, it's pretty frequent unfortunately.

Best Way To Go From 1709 and 1803 To 1809 Without Screwing The Pooch

    WMP for version 1809...

My Windows 10 N, version 1803 had used Windows Media Player via installing it from the "Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1803.msu" file.

Updating to 1809 removed the WMP and no longer available in the apps list:

There's an updated version listed at:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ows-n-editions

But clicking on the link and looking for the 1809 in the drop down list of versions does not show the media feature pack available for download for 1809; instead it shows version 1709 and 1803.

Does anyone have a direct link to WMP for Windows 10 N, version 1809?

    TIA...
