    Hi, I need help cause I´m a little confused.

    How do I know which of my disks is the HDD and which the SSD. I think thath the Windows (CBest way to move files froms SSD to HDD :) is the SSD and the Data (DBest way to move files froms SSD to HDD :) is the HDD. Is that correct.

    Well, I have a lot of files on Windows (CBest way to move files froms SSD to HDD :) (sadly just 23 GB are left ), but I have a lot of space on the other disk.

    So my main question is: How do I move files from C: to D: without doing anything weird, and keeping the app´s files on C: (I just want to moce downloads, files and photos)?? I mean, I think that I can just cut and copy them on the other disk, but is that I a good idea? I also have a problem with my OneDrive files, cause I have like 100 GB. Is it a good idea to move them to Data (DBest way to move files froms SSD to HDD :)? How should I do that?

    So as you may see, I´m a little confused.

    Moving files from SSD to HDD

    I want to transfer all the files execpt the ones required to boot up Windows from my SSD to the HDD to keep my SSD free as it is a low capacity one.

    I have tried many methods posted online but couldn't do anything about it and I need the steps to be explained in such a way that even a beginner would understand and not have trouble doing it.

    When I try to cut and paste the files from SSD to HDD it shows the following error message

    What can I do about this?

    When I right click the file there's no move option so I have to to select the file and I have to cut and paste it

    Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

    Hi

    My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

    Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

    OS on new SSD, keep existing data on HDD and use as external drive

    Hi,

    use steps you suggested, there should be no problem.

    Just replace HDD with SSD first then run installation. Do not forget to remove Windows files from HDD after the end of a process.
