Windows 10: Best way to sync mp3 folder to an android phone?

I know I sound crazy but I am starting to miss Itunes. I had my MP3 folder with a batch of copied stuff from my main archive. It was organized for Windows. Most of the time Itunes was easy to use in that I droped the folder into it and made it my default folder so I could delete stuff from the MP3 folder via itunes it processed it and bam working very few issues. I never got duplicate playlist had some improperly removed mp3 files which stuck in itunes.

Right now I am having so many issues updating my mp3's and playlists and with duplicate playlists, empty playlists its driving me nuts. How do you manage and sync songs for android without a ton of issues? I was jsut copying the folder over but the dump way android handles files I can not use my windows sync programs. I got tired of it screwing things up so I tried winamp and it just had to sort everything in a horrible incoherent manner(album/artist folders ,ect) and that did not fix any of my issues. Out of the few players I like I like Shuffle and Rocket player but as far as I understand it they don't control anything they just play. Right now I have 50GB of mp3's on my micro sd card and its reporting 80k music files.... its nonsense....

I am just so lost.

Not able to play mp3 copied files on Lumia 520

When I copy mp3 songs from my laptop my Lumia 520 does not find them in my music.

If I sync files then my music finds these files.



I want to copy different songs in different folders. Best way to do this is to copy files rather than sync.

 

What's the BEST Way To Sync 2 Phones?

It's going to be tricky no matter how you go about it. Have you synced them both to Outlook on your computer in the past? If so, you should be able to sync them both to your computer and get the unique data that is other both devices over to the computer.
Then once its all on the computer you can sync to both devices and get both of them updated with the combined updated information.

Hi. Calm down! I guess you just changed from iPhone to Android phone not long ago? Once you plug in your Android, you should see a portable device folder where you can manage all the files in your Android. If this doesn't work, there are also many desktop syncing programs just like iTunes, such as iTools, Apowersoft Phone Manager, MobileGo, etc. However, personally, I would recommend you to use wireless apps like AirMore for managing Android files on web or Pushbullet for transferring files in a fast way. *Smile

 

I've had the phone a few months . I been copying my MP3 folder to the SD card on the phone. That is not helpfull when I change mp3's around a bit and update playlists the thing spits out duplicate playlists and it gets worse if you wipe the folder and put a whole new in that only really has minor changes(and it takes like 5 hours to do 50GB) and streaming is worthless it eats up the battery.

Normally I'd figure it out by now but android has a different file system and the backup software I use dose not work with it. I've tried syncing apps on google store and none seem to work without bad lists everywhere.

Itunes did it without error for the most part all I need is something to do that without alot of bad lists. Apowersoft Phone Manager might do the trick. I hope it dose I really wish Android just made text lists of your music folder and not resort everything and they could with a simple option allow direct access to the SD card while it's in the phone.... not to mention why no USB3 for the s5+? LOL Oh well tis nto like I paid more than 250 for it all LOL If it was Icrapple it'd be a grand ><

 

I always just copy and paste what I want to my Galaxy S6. No one, anywhere, ever misses iTunes. It's one of the most destructive, poorly written pieces of crap in existence.

If you don't want to copy and paste, then look in to something like MediaMonkey. The free version should handle what you want to do.

 

No no I understand that, what I really miss is the drag, drop and forget setup. Its nice to show the active MP3s and playlists and be able to add/deactivate the playlists you do not want rather than remove/delete completely. This is the main thing I'd like in a android app but it seems elusive but also some of the playrs I am testing want to control playlsits,ect which leads to too many chefs screwing thigns up..

Dose the default android music player have a coherent setup to handle MP3's and playlists? I never really tried it since you have to log in and it seemed like it was more for streaming and frankly I do not want to put up with that anymore than I have to.

I am getting use to winamp, it seems it can do some of this but it takes forever to find and sort stuff.

 

I use WinAmp on my phone, too. If I copy over playlist files, they seem to work fine, but I'll be honest and say I rarely use a playlist.

 

I tend to be in anime/metal/rock mode more than anime/metal/rock/game/country but sometimes I change it up. I have only like 5 or 6 main playlists the rest are albums and what not I rarely use.

I think rocket player was giving me issues with playlists I switched from shuffle and shuffle seems to find the updated playlists. Gaaa Itunes(and windose media players) will brain wash you to uniform compliance of easiness LOL

 

I think double twist and WMP library is how I am going to handle mp3's so far so good.

Now I have a slightly related question I got this for my phone

It was on sale for 25, anyway the first few times using it it seemed to be faster but now it takes almost an hour every 10GB even via USB3, perhaps its my reader I'll need to test, however I been looking and it seems UHS-I are going to be on the slow side. Would it be worth blowing 100 or less on a new UHS-II 128/200GB card or should I wait a year for something better/cheaper to come out?
