  1. Big Boo-Boo and I can't access files in a folder!

    Hi all:

Well, it's been maybe a year or two since I switched to a computer from Windows 7 to 10. Entirely different computer. Anyway, for some stupid reason I was messing around with BitLocker on my old computer one day out of curiosity funny, curiosity and technology usually gets me into trouble somehow haha! and now I never unhooked this folder if you will from BitLocker, and now using Windows10. I cannot for the life of me be able to access these files inside this supposed bitlocked folder. If memory serves me, I got impatient when I was messing around with BitLocker on my Windows 7 computer and it was taking forever. Only some files are accessible, but the majority are not.

I have tried to play dumb with Windows 10 by right-clicking on the folder and clicking Properties, tampering with the security settings, but no luck. Any ideas on how I can "unlock" these files and folder so I can see everything again?

    Thanks

    -Jordan

    Made a boo-boo - now can't run Sticky Notes

I somehow managed to enable the built-in administrator account - now Sticky Notes won't run, but I get this:

Big Boo-Boo and I can't access files in a folder! [IMG]

    it says
    The app cannot be run
Sticky Notes cannot be run using the built-in administrator account.
Log in using another account and try again.

But there is only one account: mine, with admin priviledges. As this is a one-person household there was no need to create user accounts.

I have googled the phrase 'how disable built in administrator account windows 10' but get nowhere with the suggested solutions. What to do?
    Thank you.

Big Boo-Boo and I can't access files in a folder!

So my laptop had a boo boo yesterday

My laptop suddenly had a boo boo yesterday after restarting my laptop.
Then it restarted itself and it was trying to fix the problem, did not work.
Then I tried a system restore, it would not work either, I was getting a message that a file was in use, probably by anti virus software (I use Windows Defender).
Then I selected to do a "refresh", ok laptop started up again but now I had my C drive almost full because there was a windows.old folder, then I was able to delete some files but could not delete all.
Then I did a factory reset, it worked, but all files gone ofcourse and had to re-install all updates, 121 updates for windows 8 first, took the whole afternoon, and after that I could install the windows 8.1 update and after that 20 something updates left. I'm up and running again today, still busy installing my Steam games.
But what caused this boo boo?
I know I just disabled all samsung magician startups a day before.
And I was using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to disable the turbo.
Could it have been one of these 2? And was it indeed Windows Defender, that I was unable to do a restore and it gave me the popup that the system restore failed because probably of the anti virus has still a file in use.
I could not load in safe mode either.

    Anyone else had this before?

    Can I trust Intel XTU?
Before my laptop made the boo boo I disabled the turbo with it and set all 4 the multipliers on x24.
Once I did this my laptop would startup everytime with 2.4Ghz max speed, even whenI did not start XTU.
Could this have caused the problem that my laptop would not startup anymore?
Or could it have been Samsung Magician, that I had disabled all startup entries with "Autoruns"?
Maybe Samsung Magician NEEDS to startup?
I did not had installed any other new software except for some games, but did not run them before this happened.

Just bad luck I guess? Since no one else seeming to had this problem.
Well I hope I don't get this problem again after restarting.
However I will try to avoid restarting, only with updates then.
