Windows 10: Bing and MSN not responding to search inquiries

I use MSN and Bing.Com as my alternate search engines to Firefox / Mozilla.com under Google. Lately when I use either Bing or MSN under Microsoft edge I get nowhere ; my Widows Defender works fine and I just had a tune-up at the Microsoft store in Bellevue, WA. There is no virus or malware issue that I can detect. Do I de-install Bing and MSN and then re=install them ? It's really irritating, as Edge seems to lock-up. I am using MSW 10.

windows 10, nothing is being allowed through msn, error states be sure you have the right address "www.msn.com" through bing. Bing does not respond, and neither does msn. the details of the error are something about timing out, but, it doesn't take more
than a few seconds before the error page comes up. Yesterday the computer worked fine until about 10am and all of a sudden I tried to access another website and got that error message.

computer works by going through Microsoft edge and I assume is then running on IE, however, I cannot access the IE info on the tool bar as it is not in bold type. I did install chrome for a search engine since bing does not work, and, am able to get around
in that manner, however, I would like to have my computer working correctly through bing and msn, if possible. Can anyone help me. I have seen a log of comments made over the last year that are showing the same problems and same error page with the same
notes.

Since Bing is a search engine inbuilt in Windows 10, we cannot remove it. However, if you are referring to the Bing home page in browser, we can change the homepage to any other website. Refer the article to

How to remove Bing search

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

a) What is the exact issue that you face with Bing?

b) Is the issue related to Bing app?

c) Do you get issues with bing search in Windows Edge?

If you wish to set a different search for Windows Edge, here are the steps which might help you to set it as default search engine or home page.

• Open Windows edge.
• Click on More actions (Three dots ...)
• Click on settings.
• Click on view advanced settings.
• Turn on "Show the home button"
• Enter the URL of the website which you want to set as your home page.
• Close the Windows edge and open it again you will be able to get you desired webpage as your home page.

For Internet Explorer, refer to the following steps:

a) Type Internet options into the start search box

b) Press enter

c) Go down to search and select settings,

d) You can change it here.
