I updated my Windows Operating System and found that now BITLOCKER is installed and I've looked in my windows account and can't find the key. What are my choices if I can not find the key?Can I remove the drive and try to recover the data manually, or is all the data "locked"?Can I reset to an earlier date and find my data "unlocked"Can I reset to a factory setting, and once the computer is working again, restore previously backed up data?Are there any other suggestions you can make to help me get my data "unlocked" ?The computer is an HP AIO running windows 10 PROAny assistance would be app

This issue might be due to problems with change in group policy settings for bit locker.

To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

• Have you created any system restore point on the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to manage the bit locker settings in the group policy settings by following the below link and check if it helps.

First before performing any changes in Bit locker settings, I suggest you to create System Restore point on the computer. So that we can restore back to previous Windows state if any issues occurs.

Activating Bit Locker without TPM on Windows 10 Pro after upgrading from Windows 10 Home

Hello,

I am trying to activate BitLocker without TPM just after upgrading my Windows 10 Home OS to Pro. I found the post below:

Allow BitLocker without compatible TMP Module

However, when I follow step (c)

c. On the opened Local Group Policy Editor snap-in from the left pane expand Computer Configuration >Administrative
Templates > Windows Components > Bit Locker Drive Encryption and from the expanded list click to select Operating System Devices.

I don not find "Bit Locker Drive Encryption" listed. Can't find it anywhere actually. So, I'm dead in the water.

Can anyone help?
