It only took me 7 years of complaining, but Bitdefender Internet Security 2020, finally put a
"block everything, unless I approve it" switch on their firewall.

Zonealarm Firewall, had that back in the early 2000's. I loved that firewall.

    Now finally, Bitdefender has it

Ofc, they still have the worst GUI designers on the planet, but I can live with that.
I've been complaining about the GUI for 7 years as well... maybe next year they will fix that. *Biggrin

    BitDefender missing

    Hi,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I would suggest you to search for BitDefender in the search next to start. If you are not able to find and if you have BitDefender CD/DVD, then I would suggest you to re-install BitDefender.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other issues with Windows in future.

  3. Good Antivirus + Firewall

I would never put anything Norton on my computer.

Nod32 is arguably the best antivirus. AVG is likely not as good, but it's free and at least pretty good.

Firewalls, I'd put Comodo and whatever "Tiny Personal Firewall" is named nowadays on your short list. I think Kerio might have sold it now and it's named something else. Otherwise, just put Comodo on your short list. I think the current version's ease of use has taken a step backwards, seems a bit counter-intuitive when trying to do certain things with it, but overall it does a good job and the price is right.
