    BitLocker - Clearing the TPM before Re-Install?


    I have BitLocker enabled on my internal SSD drive with TPM and PIN protection.
    If I decide to reinstall Windows, do I need to Clear the TPM before doing so?

    Need help on whether to clear TPM on not

    It's clear as mud. As far as I can tell, it's specific to Windows, not necessarily activated programs like MacAfee, games, etc etc etc. MS Office, I have no idea.

    Hi Escanor-Sama, clearing your TPM should not affect your browsing experience or videos and pictures

    TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is a technology used for things like Bitlocker Encryption, so if you use BitLocker, be careful clearing TPM
