Windows 10: BitLocker Drive Encryption Recovery Key

I purchased a second hand HP ProDesk PC and supplier replaced original SSD with new larger capacity. BitLocker was and remains turned on. I wasn't aware until I spent some time updating Win10 Pro and downloading some programs and data.Via Control Panel > BitLocker Drive Encryption I was able to save the key to my MS Account and to print it out. The printout says 'To verify that this is the correct recovery key, compare the start of the following identifier with the identifier value displayed on your PC . 1. How/where is an identifier displayed on my PC?2. Is there any other way to test the

Bitlocker Drive Encryption

Recently I was attempting to encrypt my drive with bitlocker because windows was suggesting to encrypt them via the security page when logging into my account. Though, when I do attempt to encrypt them with bitlocker it states that my drive is already
encrypted via bitlocker. I was wondering if there was a different way that it needs to be set up because I was hoping to add the extra layer of security to my drives with bitlocker encryption and password protecting them via a recovery key.
