Windows 10: black disk with white X centred

This mysterious black disk with a large white X in the centre comes down at the middle top of the full screen, and (usefully) serves to exit from it. However, it appears unpredictably and moves rather too fast for my speed on the mouse. Question: what is it and how can I summon, slow it down, generally control it?

White x beside wifi network!

Hi Karl,

The white x on top of Wireless symbol might mean that, there is a password change or some setting change to the wireless network.

To resolve this white x mark, follow the below steps to "Forget the network" and re-connect to the wireless network.

1. Select the wireless network icon > Wireless & Network settings

2. From the list in the left, select "Wi-Fi"

3. Select "Manage known networks"

4. Search and select the network that is causing issue > Select "Forget"

5. Now, select the wireless icon again and re-connect to the network.

Note: After Step 4, you won't find the x mark on top of the specific wireless network.

Need to print a list in black & white


I need software that will let me print and invert in black & white.

At the bottom of the page is a list I need to print out.
1) I need this in black & white.
2) I need to invert this so I get black letters against a white background.

I can print this with white letters against a black background (in monochrome), but i'll use up too much black ink. What I want to do is invert the colors so that I get regular black letters against a white background.

Any have any ideas?

I suggest you to check whether Apply Color Filter is set off or on. It should be off.
