  1. Black Screen after Disc Cleanup - HELP!!!!

I did a disc cleanup the way I always have and after that programs weren't loading correctly so I tried to restart and for an hour it said restarting with the circles going around. I shut everything down and waited about a half an hour, now when I turn the pc on, all i get is a black screen, no logo, no cursor no ....

nothing. Since there's no logo, I can't get into the bios or safe mode or anything.

**** caused this? All I deleted during the clean up were recycle bin, temp files etc.

    :)

    Black Screen after Log on

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

    disc cleanup

    Hi Edward,

You should run Disk Cleanup Twice as explained below to safely remove anything that can be removed and check everything in the list, it is quite safe to do that, disk Cleanup will not suggest anything that is not safe to remove . . .

    Open File Explorer

    Click on your hard drive

On the Manage Tab, click Cleanup

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

    Start Disk Cleanup again

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files'

Let Disk Cleanup run another scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete
