Windows 10: Black screen after update

After doing the update 2023-05 'Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64 based systems KB5026372' and restarting my HP Pavilion PC, the screen goes black with the cursor loading and the only way to get it to work is to enter safe mode and undo this update. I currently have the updates paused, to avoid this problem.
