Windows 10: Black screen and File Explorer not working after Windows 11 24H2 update

Today, my HP Victus 15-fa1000 771S5AV with Windows 11 Pro received 24H2 via Windows Update. Update completed successfully, but I'm experiencing some major issues now:- After I login with my password, there's a black screen for for about 2-3 minutes. Only after this period the desktop appears.- When I open File Explorer and try to enter a folder or drive, I see the the loading icon indefinitely and it is stuck like that. What I tried:- I downloaded and installed all the 24H2 drivers from the HP support page of my model.- After installing 24H2 I ran Windows Upda

File Explorer Causes Black Screen

Whenever I click on File Explorer, it causes my screen to go black and File Explorer doesn't open, with my curser still working. I have to use ctrl+alt+delete to restart my computer to get out of this issue. If I click on File Explorer while using another app (firefox or Excel for example), I can still use them without any issue, but my home screen and taskbar have gone black, and when I exit the apps, I am back to my original issue.

I have tried:

• Clearing File Explorer History - issue pursists
  
• Launching folder windows in a separate process - my screen doesn't go black when I click on File Explorer but it won't open either
  
• Run netsh and winsock reset - issue persists
  
• Run sfc/scannow - issue persists
  
• Uninstalling recent update - issue persists
  
• Restarting in safe mode - Got a pop up saying "explorer.exe - system warning Unknown hard error" and signing it lead me to the black screen again. Restarting after this did nothing
  

Any more suggestions would be amazing! My computer is working fine other than this issue.

There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

• When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
