    Black Screen + Cursor at Login


    Greetings all,

    I had a critical update take place today and when I login now I get a black screen with only a cursor on my main PC. I am unable to revert using the usual options available (system restore, startup repair, etc.) as all are failing. Has anyone else got nuked today? If so, are there any work-a-rounds/solutions available? I am currently running an insider edition of Windows 10.

    [ASUS A550C] Installed Nvidia drivers and got either black screen or screen glitchy

    Still the same. But with black screen with no cursor after login

    I had that with the recent update, in my case though I had the desktop updater in the top left-hand corner.
    Leaving things 10-20 minutes allowed it to finish.
    Is there any disk activity? If so then something is happening.
