Windows 10: Black screen/ just curser after user screen

I had posted earlier tonight about my Start Up wndows logo and tray icons almost all are frozen.


I tried solutions posted but since i cant access Settings or Window logo i was stuck.


I tried accessing run menu through Task Mgr but wasnt getting anywhere. Now i cant get ti that either.


Tried whiching to another user and it updated Windows and One Drive but now have less i can do, not more.


Saw suggestion to try to get to Safe Mode from hitting Shift + power symbol - but that turned off laptop immediately.


—-> Now when i reboot i get the screen saver for the other user, then it just goes to black screen with cursor able to be moved around. No way i can see to get back to change User.


Help, olease. 10 hours later it seems worse.

Black screen and Blinking curser after upgrade

Original Title: Blinking curser

At first startup after updating to Windows 10 screen is black with curser blinking in upper left corner. No response from mouse or keyboard. What is the solution?

Thought I had this problem solved even posted successful results. Went through all the suggestions including Reset and Reinstall 10. Nothing worked.The black screen- win10 no curser-no log on screen still persisted. I have to do a hard reset to boot.
Now what. Did not as yet upgrade the bio. All this should not have been necessary. any real answers?
