Windows 10: Black Screen Problem

Hello. I recently updated to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 a few weeks ago. Everything was going fine until I began encountering the random black screens. The screen will randomly go black (it stays on, the screen will just be black). The only way to get it back is the push the power button to put it to sleep and then wake it again. At first I thought it was the graphics card, however my machine has an Intel Iris Pro 5200 and Nividia GeForce 970m. Through device manager, I disabled the integrated card and used the dedicated card, however the problem still persists. Thus I figured it was a software issue. I have tried everything short of reinstalling windows (I'd really like to avoid that). I've updated every driver, reinstalled all the device drivers, uninstalled multiple windows updates, turned all the power settings to "never", is there something I'm missing?

Also, looking in eventviewer, I find this error occurs before the screen shuts off:

to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I'm not sure what this means. But is it related? Does anyone have any advice or should I do a reinstall?
