    There are multiple related issues and I think I tried EACH and EVERY suggested solution so please read below before suggesting standard steps - I've done them already.


    My laptop boots normally but I see black screen after I log in to any Windows user account.



    SITUATION

    - HP Pavilion Gaming 15 laptop. Win10 Pro. Running OK till now.

    - The latest Windows updates were applied in mid-January and now I can't use the laptop.

    - The computer boots normally and I can see the login screen.


    - After I log into any account standard/admin, I see black screen and a mouse pointer cursor which I can move, so the system is responsive.


    - Hotkeys do not help. Ctrl-Shft-Esc, Win-X, Win-R, Ctrl-Shft-Win-B etc. do not work. The cursor changes to "waiting" for a few seconds and that's it.


    This means that I CAN"T RUN any program including Task Manager, Control Panel etc.


    WHAT I DID with no success
    - Tried external monitor and Win-P.

    - Rebooted in safe mode - doesn't work, the only difference that I can see is the task bar on the black screen but it is unresponsive

    - Uninstalled latest security and feature updates


    - Safe boot with command prompt works. So I did:

    -- Disabled all non-MS services in safe mode with command prompt.
    -- Disabled App Readiness service

    -- Created new accounts and tried to log into them

    Nothing helped.

    Ideas, please?
