Windows 10: Black Screen

I recently upgraded the OS on my full size desktop PC to Win10 using that Media Creation tool, there were a few hiccups but all in all it was pretty quick and painless. I have a Zotac mini in my shop, gets used pretty sparingly, mostly for streaming video, so I don't need all that much processing power. It's about 4 or 5 years old, been running Win 7 Ultimate, I decided I'd try one more time to upgrade to Win 10 tried maybe about six months or a year ago, the people at MS couldn't figure out why I was getting nowhere, the manufacturer finally said that, for reasons related to the system bus, I would not be able to run Win 10 on it. That sounded like more of "I don't have a good answer and just give up, so I'm gonna make something up here" response than anything else, so I tried using the Media Creation tool today, and it went really well, in no time at all, maybe 30-45 minutes, I had Windows 10 installed - or so I thought. I will go back tomorrow to see if there is any difference, but I don't think I should have gotten that black screen at the end, should I have? Windows was doing updates, there were no issues, like inadequate hardware or whatever, the installation went ahead normally and it went into updates. Last I checked it was at 23%, I did some other stuff in the shop then a few minutes later, took a look to see how it was doing with those updates seems like about the final step, maybe one more reboot, and the screen has been just all black ever since. My wireless mouse moves its pointer, kinda sorta, when I try to mouse over around where the "Start" button should be I think it is called something else in Win10, but the bottom L corner anyway, when I hover over that area with the mouse pointer, after less than a second the pointer jumps to around the middle of the screen. I wasn't sure if the process was finished so I walked away and left the machine running, if nothing has changed when I go out there tomorrow I will manually turn it off then back on to see what happens. Anyone have any ideas what that back screen is about, and/or what I might wanna try from here? Not sure of all the specs, I upgraded the RAM, I'm sure it has at least 4GB.
