    Blank screen !


    I have read various websites about the "Blank screen" either before or after signing into Windows 10. On my laptop it is sometimes before or after the login. I do regular maintenance and check for updates daily. I have nothing in "Start up programs" and have tried enabling and enable the Display driver. I am sure my laptop started more quickly than this a few weeks ago but I am not sure what to check next ! I am now on the latest 20H2 version of Windows 10 so I am totally at a loss what could be causing it ! I am using a Lenovo G700 laptop which I have had for about 6 years.

    Conflicts with third-party software and outdated graphic drivers are common contributors to the black screen issue that you're having. To isolate the said issue, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Are you getting any error messages before getting a blank screen?
    • Are you experiencing this when using a particular app?
    • Were there any changes made on your computer settings prior to this issue?

    Blank screen !

    Screen goes blank after changing BIOS settings/

    I don't know how long this has been happening, a few weeks at least, but whenever I change a setting in my BIOS (and save & exit), my screen goes blank and my monitor goes into standby. Any suggestions to fix this?
