Windows 10: Blue ray player not recognized

I plugged my LG blue ray writer into my new Windows 10 laptop Asus ROG and I get nothing. Computer does not recognize it. I tried rebooting computer with writer already plugged in and still nothing. It is probably an easy fix, but, I am stuck. Any suggestions?

Okay so I have found that there is supposedly a plug in for VLC player that allows for blue ray viewing, however it doesn't work worth a crap. *Laugh :laugh:

I am looking for a good blue ray player software as cheap as possible. What I have read is that the free ones are not worth a crap as well.

If anyone has a good suggestion on this, I am all ears. *Rockout :rockout:

 

Playstation 3 blue ray player

Is there any significant difference between Playstation 3 blue ray players compared to other blue ray players? I mean, would at least the picture quality be the same?

Blue ray DVD players go up as high as 1,400. I rather buy a PS3 then spend that kind of money if there isn’t much of a difference… *Bang Head :banghead:

 

Help...asus bw-12b1st will not read blu-ray dvd

I bought an ASUS BW-12B1ST Blu-ray writer...installed and it didnt read ANY dvd...deleted from devices and restarted...it then played dvd's but NOT Blu-ray dvd...it lists as BD player under Computer...I run ANY DVD HD and it recognizes it as a blu-ray writer, but no play...OS is VISTA. Suggestions??
