Windows 10: Blue screen after updating to Windows 10 20H2 from Windows 7

Hi everyone, wish you a good day. Today I've helped my cousin update his old laptop from very old version of Windows 7 to Windows 10. I suggested him that Windows 10 could make his laptop slow because of the specs: -Intel i3-5005U -32 bit -2GB Ram It's such an bad specs for Windows 10 but however it met the requirement, so ok. I accepted. Although I've helped many friends with installing Windows, and met Blue Screen many times but today, I couldn't fix this. As I lost my USB, so I used Windows Update Assistant for this process. This worked ok, fast. But when rebooted after a long process, we ended up with a blue screen:

SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED What failed: WppRecorder.sys

We have tried many solution so far on the Internet, but nothing worked.

Have you met this problem? Do you have anyway to fix this? Thank you so much

And if there are no other ways, I will have to buy a new USB and completely install Windows 10, maybe the older version? Or should I stay in Windows 7, or even Ubuntu?

Blue screens with windows 7

Windows 7 doesn't cause blue screens. As CrAsHnBuRnXp said, run memtest because your ram may be faulty.

 

Windows 7 Blue Screen of Death!

This is the first time i have ever got the blue screen, but it keeps on occurring, and so i cannot get onto that hard drive, it shuts down within a second of the blue screen showing itself, which doesnt give me any time to read it lol. So i am completely confused as there is no Path of: "C:\WINDOWS\Minidump" as well

So i recently switched to windows 7, with that i got new ram. I rarely use to blue screen (before win7) but lately i have been blue screening a lot. Im guessint its the ram but i wanna be sure.

it does it at random times.
