  1. Blue screen error shortly after start up

I have a desktop PC with Windows 10 Pro. Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel i7-6700K at 4.0 GHz

RAM: 16 GB at 2133 MHz

Video card: MSI GEFORCE GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G

    Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 rev. 1.0

System drive: Samsung 950 PRO NVMe M.2

I have been getting the following blue screen errors shortly after start up:

CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED I almost always get this error

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION rarely, I get this error

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL with stornvme.sys as a cause I had this error once about a month ago but not anymore

About 1-5 minutes after booting into Windows, the screen freezes for about 10-30 seconds, and then a blue screen error appears. The system then restarts itself, and, sometimes, it would boot up again normally or freeze the screen and show a blue screen error again. Other times, it would go into BIOS settings. When that happens, I try to restart into Windows, but the system just goes back to BIOS. When checking the boot device order, it does not detect the system drive. The only way to get into Windows again is to cut power, wait for 15 seconds, then start the system this procedure does not work all the time, so I just repeat it. But, as of late, the system very frequently goes to a blue screen and almost always goes into BIOS after that error restarts the PC.

This has been happening since Spring of 2020, when I installed a newer version of Nvidia drivers. I do not remember the exact version before and after the installation; I had some version in the 44x.xx range before updating and a newer version in the same range after updating. I tried reinstalling a previous Nvidia driver, clean installing the newest driver, removing the video driver to allow Windows to install a generic Nvidia driver by itself, tried restoring default BIOS settings, re-seating the video card into its slot, unplugging all peripherals except for monitor, mouse, and keyboard; and reinstalling Windows two times.

How to fix this problem? I can provide additional information if needed.

    :)
