Windows 10: Blue Screen Error Win32k Power Watchdog Timeout

Hello,


I had left my ASUS laptop turned on but closed and when I returned to use it, the monitor was black and the keyboard started flashing. After some time, a blue screen displayed a blue screen of death with the error Win32k Power Watchdog Timeout. I waited some time for the collecting info process, but even after about 5-7 minutes, it was still at 0% so I turned off the laptop through the power button and it restarted fine.


What caused this issue/how can I fix it?

When I lid the screen it goes to the sleeping mode by default, after opening the laptop after this sleeping mode a blue screen with error message appears, the stop code for this error message is "win32k power watchdog timeout"
