Windows 10: Blue Snowball won't work since major upgrade

So I recently replaced my motherboard, CPU and RAM and now my blue snowball mic won't work. When I did the upgrade I re-installed windows and that's where the trouble started. It doesn't recognise the device at all. It doesn't show up in device manager even when I click on 'show hidden devices', unplugging and re-plugging doesn't help, the USB port is good as it works with other USB devices and I have switched around multiple devices to no success. The mic is getting power as the red light is on and the mic is fully working as it works fine on my other computer which is a mac. I suspect that this is some driver related issue and I have heard of a lot of people having issues with this specific mic as it comes with no driver software and instead uses what comes with windows. I bought it 4 years ago, used it on windows 8 which I then upgraded to windows 10 and it worked fine, the trouble only started now. I have made sure all the motherboard drivers are installed and have re-installed the Realtek drivers just in case but that doesn't appear to have helped (I didn't think it would since the snowball uses generic drivers in place of any others). I have other audio devices working fine over the 3.5mm connections and over Bluetooth but I don't have any other USB audio devices to test it on. Interestingly I looked in the drivers folder in system 32 and there are no USB Audio drivers but that could be because they're installed somewhere else (I don't know that much about drivers other than their basic functionality). Any help would be much appreciated as I don't really want to have to buy a new mic when I know this one works perfectly fine.

Blue Snowball USB Microphone doesn't work after upgrading to Win10

I had this same problem tonight using a Blue Snowball I bought about 4 years ago. I hadn't used the PC for recording since I upgraded to Windows 10 but tonight I was using Audacity to record something and it would not recognize the Snowball. In the device
manager it showed the Snowball driver and an error message underneath.

Maybe the Force is with me tonight, but I simply uninstalled the driver, unplugged the Snowball, refreshed and plugged it back in. Same error message. Went through those steps one more time and it loaded without the error message and is recording just fine.

Now under Audacity it used to say "Snowball" in the recording device where now it says "Microphone (2 - USB Audio Class). But whatever, it's working and I didn't even have to kick the tower.

I had this same issue, but I quickly resolved it. Follow the steps below:

1. Head to your sound icon on your taskbar mini-icons, which you open the arrow pointing up to get there.

2. Now right click it and click "Recording devices"

3. From there, you should see your Blue Snowball device registered and on the list. If it says USB device or something other than that, then you need to try and troubleshoot the connection issue.

4. Now, select the connected Blue Snowball microphone on the list, and look down at the set default button. Click it.

5. There, you should be able to use the microphone without worry
