Windows 10: blue tooth connection with speakers and head phones

I'm having issues reconnecting various blue tooth head phones and speakers to my PC Blue tooth. I have an acer Aspire 5 running Windows 10 Home. I have had the PC for about 2 Months.


To reconnect any of my audio devices, I firstly have to remove the device via the "forget this device" function. I then have to repair the device and the computer. 9 times out of the 10 the device connects however there is sound coming from the device. I then have to run the sound trouble shooter found under sound settings. This involves performing a number of tasks and ultimately rebooting the computer. This is painful. This works sometimes on the first go, though sometimes it doesn't and I have to repeat the "sound Trouble Shooter" process a number of times until it works or I lose patience.


Initially I had no problems reconnecting the devices, by just selecting pair, so I'm assuming it relates to an update. According to windows, I am using the latest / best blue tooth drivers.


Please help as this problem is driving me bonkers.

From TV Bluetooth transmitter to Bose / other Blue tooth speakers

I have a tv bluetooth transmitter and a bluetooth neckloop receiver (for my hearing aids), and all I do is put both devices in pairing mode (varies but on my transmitter I just hold the power on button for a few seconds until the led flashes rapidly). I do basically the same on neckloop (different button) and they just connect - these devices nearly always use default 0000 as the connecting password and you never need to have any keyboard or mouse connection.

So you should just need to read manual on transmitter and receiver to work out how to put into pairing mode.

Temporarily turn off bluetooth on any other devices , so they do not preferentially try and connect.

From TV Bluetooth transmitter to Bose / other Blue tooth speakers

Hi folks.
Not specifically a Windows question although it does have some relevance too if using a laptop say.

I've got a Blue tooth transmitter which can transmit analog or the optical output audio from the TV as a blue tooth signal. The TV itself doesn't have blue tooth capabilities. I'm trying to get rid of messy cables all over the place and using Wireless speakers seems a good way to go --TV stuff doesn't have to be ultimate hi-fi so blue tooth is perfectly good enough here and the DAC's in the speaker set are more than adequate.

Now what I need is how do I pair that with blue tooth speakers - obviously there's no "Screen" or keyboard on the speakers !!!!

I'm sure people on this forum have done this type of thing. The TV itself doesn't have blue tooth but the transmitter seems to function OK (red led and blue Bluetooth TX - transmit) lights on. So how do I pair this thing with the speakers ???

I know my phone can be used to scan for blue tooth devices but I want to pair the TV with a speaker not the phone.

Any windows apps or android stuff for this purpose.
