Bluetooth Adapter - Power Management Registry Location?

    Hi,

I am currently trying to create a windows 10 image to push out to alot of tablets. One of the steps im manually doing is to turn off the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the bluetooth adapter in device manager.

Does anyone know a registry key i can change to do this or even a group policy? I've looked around but cant seem to find one.

I have come across a registry key on the Microsoft website But this seems to be for the Network adapter and not the bluetooth. Does anyone have any ideas?

    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\DeviceNumber\PnPCapabilities. (set to 24)".

    :)

microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000 windows 10

It seems that this mouse only works properly under Windows 10 if using the "Generic Bluetooth adapter" provided by Microsoft. It also seems to prefer if the power management is disabled.

    So...

    1. Open Device Manager

    2. Locate Bluetooth

    3. If you see a specific adapter such as "Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 + High Speed Adapter" open its Properties, then Update Driver, Browse my computer for driver software, Let me pick from a list, and pick "Generic Bluetooth Adapter".

    4. Select OK whenever needed

If you still encounter issue go back to the Properties of the generic adapter and disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Power Management tab

Also still in the Device Manager, go to Human Interface Devices, open the properties of the Bluetooth HID device, and disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Power Management
