Bluetooth : allow device to connect greyed out

Win10 on Dell Inspiron Desktop PC

I want to play music from my Samsung Galaxy S6 through the bluetooth speaker system on my PC. After successfully pairing the phone, I discover that it is not connected. The bluetooth speakers are connected, but the phone only shows as "paired". In the Bluetooth popup, "allow a device to connect" is greyed out. After a Google search, I know this is a common problem, but proposed solutions don't work in my case. I tried rebooting both PC and phone, but no help. I installed the latest Bluetooth driver from Intel, but no change.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    :)

  2. 'Allow a device to connect' is greyed out

    Good day.

That did not work. I now have bigger problems... When trying to pair my phone again, I turn my phone's visibility on but the computer can't find it but my phone can find the computer. So when I try pairing it the message pops up to tell me that a device
wants to pair, when I click accept, a message pops up and says that the device is already connected. My phone does however not show there but it does in the device manager under Bluetooth. Once I uninstall it in device manager and try to connect it again the
same message pops up and I can find my device under Bluetooth again.

    What can I do now?

  3. 'Allow a device to connect' is greyed out

    Good day.

I tried both steps but neither of them worked. I also downloaded a new bluetooth driver from Intel's website.

    It is still not working.

Usually from the phone in settings -》Bluetooth, you can tap on the paired device and it would connect - this however does not work with the laptop.

    Any other suggestion?

P.S. I do appreciate the time you've taken to reply so far!
