Windows 10: Bluetooth and Wifi Conflicts while transferring data from Samsung phone to pc

Since downloading the Windows 10 October feature update 1809 I have to turn off wifi on my laptop in order to send/reciev files to/from my Samsung Galaxy A8. Prior to the update I did not have to do this. Is there a setting a need to tweak?

Unable to connect smart phone to PC.

I did as you suggested but every time I reconnect to a different USB port and start the phone the PC reloads the Windows 2003 Smartphone driver. Is there some way I can manually load a USB driver from the Zune software that will support my Samsung Focus
phone?

If you can't get it to connect, you might consider alternate ways to get data on/off the phone, like WiFi (if the phone has WiFi), Bluetooth (if the phone and PC are equipped) cell data, or transferring files via SD card. What are you trying to sync or transfer?



Response: The phone has WiFi and Bluetooth. The PC does not have Bluetooth but is connected to a wireless router which I use for WiFi access from my phone.

I'd like to upload the pictures I've taken with the phone, my e-mail contact list from the PC to the phone and download some mucic to the phone. It's cumbersome but I've used e-mail from my phone via WiFi to send pictures to my e-mail account which I then
download to my PC.

Is there some way to use WiFi (router) to move all the data I listed between the PC and the phone?

Conflict with cellular data + wifi

I have had a Nokia Lumia 920 for a while but just noticed this problem - I sometimes can't receive calls/send or receive text messages when both the wifi and the cellular data are on. I always get a flood of text and voicemail messages when I turn off
the data plan (but my phone doesn't update the missed calls list). Any advice? I don't want to always have to switch wifi on/data off then data on/wifi off. This has happened before and after the last Windows Phone update.

I saw some people had trouble with the Samsung Focus on Win7
here but it seemed to be a Focus-specific problem.

 

Does anyone use bluetooth on their PC and why if so?

I was using the bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse from Logitech but since I've gotten into more FPS, fall and winter are coming *Frown , I went back to a wired mouse and keyboard. I now use the bluetooth adapter mainly for backing up my contact list from my cell phone or transfering pictures from our camera and cell phones.
