Windows 10: Bluetooth audio stuttering and lagging

This issue has persisted for 5 months now. I am unable to use bluetooth headphones with my Dell XPS 15 9550 because audio and video is constantly interrupted with static. I am able to properly connect and pair my device to the laptop but for example youtube videos lag down and stutter almost like .5x speed. There is a constant interference and so the audio ends up choppy in songs or videos. I have done all troubleshooting with the headphones and audio and bluetooth settings. My Bose QC 35s also are able to connect and function with any other device except my laptop. I suspect it had something to do with a windows update I did over the summer but i am not sure

Bluetooth Audio stuttering

Recently upgraded my PC and reinstalled Windows 10.

I run my main audio through a Razer Leviathan bluetooth speaker and a headset through the optical connector for comms.

Never had any issues until recently, where any audio stutters when coming through the Bluetooth speaker. There's no stutter through the headset for any audio (comms, music, youtube, netflix etc) and there's no stutter if I connect the speaker to another
device such as my phone and hold it at the other side of the house. I recently bought a USB Bluetooth adapter in case it was something faulty on my new motherboard, but the issue persists with this device too.

I've tried reinstalling the drivers and reconnecting for Bluetooth and the speaker, but the problem persists. If I move the speaker, sometimes the signal cuts out entirely or it can be fine, but it has not been moved from the same spot on my desk prior to
the issue occurring so it's not an issue of the location of the speaker. There's no WiFi (cabled and disabled the WiFi option) and just a desk surface for the signal to pass through. Again, it could connect to my phone on the other side of the house and play
audio fine.

I'm thinking its a software/driver problem at this point.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

2. What is the version and build of you operating system? In the
   Search box, type winver
   to get this info.
   

I suggest you to refer the ‘Audio’ section from Fix Bluetooth
problems in Windows 10 article and check if it fixes the issue.

Audio stutters then lags while streaming video on Windows 10!

I FOUND A SOLUTION!!

Well I don't know which one of these steps worked but there where two that stood out. I read somewhere that their lag was related to their router being outdated for their WiFi connection and on another about their Realtek audio driver. So it got me thinking,
I went to my manufacturer (Dell) and scanned my computer for driver updates. This time I updated my Dell Wireless 1705 WiFi + Bluetooth Drive and the Realtek ALC3234 Audio Driver.

I have to mention that I also updated my Mozilla browser and the driver for the NVidia GE Force card, I am leaning more towards the Realtek audio driver.

So, now I am stutter free, good luck to you!
