    Bluetooth Disconnect & Disappear!


    I know this question has been asked and answered in one form or another. None of the answers helped me. So, I'm posting my question. I have a Lenovo Laptop and a recently was given a Microsoft surface mouse. The Bluetooth for the mouse disconnects repeatedly. I turn it on and it works for a few minutes then shuts off press repeat! Sometimes my whole Bluetooth will not work and I "Can't" turn it on because the on-off toggle will be missing. This has only been corrected by turning the laptop completely off, a restart does not return the toggle switch.


    I've already done all the recommended tasks: uninstall drivers, check power management, check services are running. Done all that. None of it worked.

  2. Bluetooth disappeared

    Hi Jenny,

    We appreciate you for being a part of Windows 10.

    Before proceeding, we need more information to help you better.


    • Did you checked whether the Bluetooth device is listed under hidden devices in Device manager?

    • Have you checked whether the Bluetooth driver is listed under installed programs under Programs and features? (As you have reinstalled the Bluetooth.)

    • Does the Bluetooth disappeared after you have started to use Wacom Bluetooth keyboard?
    Note:


    • In device manager, click on "view" tab and select "show hidden devices" and check whether Bluetooth device/driver is listed.

    • To check the drivers installed in Programs and features, Press
      Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Programs and features and check whether the Bluetooth driver is installed.
    Until you get back to us with the required information, follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

    I would suggest you check if Bluetooth Support service is started.


    • Press Windows + R
      keys on the keyboard, type services.msc
      and press OK.

    • Now, find Bluetooth Support Service
      and start it

    • Double click on the Bluetooth Support Service
      set the startup type as Automatic.
    Step 2:

    Follow the steps to run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter and check if you are able to fix the issue.


    • Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select
      Control Panel

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the
      Control Panel.

    • Click on View all on the left navigation pane.

    • Click on Hardware and devices.

    • Click on Advanced on the Hardware and devices
      dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).

    • Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the
      Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

    Reference: I would suggest you to check whether the drivers are up to date. Refer to the below link on how to download and install the drivers in Windows 10.

  3. How to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth devices in Windows 10?

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We understand the inconvenience caused and will assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Pair the Bluetooth device to the system.
    • Right click on the Speaker icon in the System tray and select
      Playback Devices.
    • Select the device and click on the drop down list next to Set default button.
    • Select the option to connect and disconnect from the device.

  4. Bluetooth Disconnect & Disappear!

    Bluetooth adapter disconnects randomly. (NOT just devices.)

    First of all, let me list all my specs.

    ASUS ROG GL752VW

    Intel core i7 6700 @ 2.6GHz

    Windows 10x64

    16GB RAM

    Now my problem: my Bluetooth adapter seems to disconnect randomly and I have no idea why. Sometimes it will go months without ever disconnecting, and sometimes it disconnects and goes months without even working. The little icon disappears from my taskbar, and I am unable to use Bluetooth. My computer reports that I don't have bluetooth. I am not sure of the exact adapter but I do know it is Intel and that they are together. I never ever have any issues with WiFi however Bluetooth is just causing me all sorts of hell.
    I've tried all of the following things, so please don't suggest them...

    Rebooting. Tried it multiple times

    Reinstalling the drivers. With and without rebooting.

    Uninstalling the device from Device Manager and reinstalling it.

    "Repair"ing the driver from the installer.

    Can anyone help me?
