Windows 10: Bluetooth driver issues.

I was having trouble connecting a device with Bluetooth. I tried updating my Bluetooth driver which only made it worse by ultimately not allowing me to connect any Bluetooth devices at all. I tried uninstalling the driver with the intention of reinstalling it, obviously. I read online that if you uninstall it and restart your computer, it will automatically help you reinstall it, which it didn't. So I tried going to my manufacture's website, Dell, to download the appropriate Bluetooth drivers. After installing and restarting my computer, I'm still missing the Bluetooth driver in my device manager. I tried clicking my Desktop and hitting "Scan for hardware changes" but it is no where to be seen. Any suggestions?

Bluetooth issues with the driver.

• When did you start encountering the issue?
  
• Have you made any changes on your computer prior to this issue?
  
• Is the Bluetooth driver detected under Device Manager?

Meanwhile, you can consider removing/uninstalling the Bluetooth driver from the Device Manager and then restart your computer. In that way, the system will automatically install the generic Bluetooth driver.

To uninstall the Bluetooth driver, follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, type
  devmgmt.msc, and then hit Enter.
  
• Expand Bluetooth.
  
• Right-click the Bluetooth driver, and then select Uninstall. (Note: If the driver is not located in Bluetooth, then you can look for it under
  Other devices.)
  
• Restart your computer.

Bluetooth Headphone Connection Issues

Hi,

I would suggest to perform some basic troubleshooting steps by following the article to find out the reason and to update the Bluetooth driver.

Check the Status of the Bluetooth in Device Manager and update it:

• Search Device Manager using Cortana.
• Right click Bluetooth drivers and select the Update driver software.

Check also if the Bluetooth service on your laptop is enabled by following this steps:

• Press Windows key + R and type service.msc
• Search for Bluetooth Support Service.
• Right click on the Service and click on Enable.

No Bluetooth Driver


My phone sees my bluetooth card. Its a

Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Mini-card.

The computer is not seeing this card in the device settings.

I guess the issue becomes one of finding the driver and installing it.
