Windows 10: Bluetooth Headset Hands-free function does not work

Hi.


I am trying to use AHT-WS330BT bluetooth headset to my laptop which runs windows 10.

The headphone is working well, I suppose, because I can hear vivid sound from the headphone.

However, the mic seems to be not working. The headset itself is for sure not defective. I tried it to my

tablet and iphone and, both sound&mic function well.


I looked on the sound properties and noticed that in the hands-free is "disconnected"

and there's now way I can tick the "connect" button.


So I thought it just needed a fresh start so I rebooted my laptop and see if there would be

some changes... but none. I disconnected the bluetooth headset, and once again rebooted,

then reinstalled the bluetooth headset once again. No change at all. Only the headphone

speaker works, but not the mic.


I already did a few work-around on the system setting/privacy/sound, by turning it off-on, but

it did not work. I rebooted the bluetooth services and it allso did not have any effect.

I removed all other bluetooth devices connected to the laptop and installed just the headset,

and the same thing happened: only the headphone speaker works, but not the mic.


I hope there is anyone here who have experienced the same thing, and could perhaps share

the work-around to make the device work properly.

Bluetooth Headset - Windows 10 - appearing as Bluetooth hands-free

I recently bough the following product from Amazon:

Essentially it works in terms of connecting etc and bonding via Bluetooth.

The issue lies with windows picking this up as a Bluetooth hands-free device, see icon below.

This I think is part of the problem, furthermore, under sound control there is the following options, Stereo and Hands-free.

Please for the time being ignore that the headset is disconnected.

Putting all of this together I have the following options:

• use the Handsfree option but suffer with low quality sound through headset (channel 1)
  
• Use the Stereo as default - which means good quality sound (channel 2) - but also means that the device no longer has any Mic associated with it.
  

Furthermore, searching across the web, it was noted to disable hands free "under services, under device manager". However this just means that it defaults to the Stereo every time and the hands free (which includes a Mic) does not work.

I have also connected a USB blutooth device (running V10) as supposed to the internal, but still not luck. I have re-installed the device multiple times with reboots and removing it from devices.

Please can someone help here with any suggestion, I am very close to just returning this item as its not working properly...

Bluetooth headset is not working consistently

Thanks! again for the prompt response and i followed the suggested steps for WiFi issue but troubleshooter didn't report any problem, however the issue persists even as of now. After approaching you i shouldn't be interfering with your troubleshooting but
it seems to me problem as a result of peculiar issue wrt OS, may be because it doesn't flush out the entries related to WiFi settings/system. Also, i was thinking solution must be readily available as Windows 10 team must have fixed issue over a period time
as many users have reported exactly same issue. Sorry! again as i have crossed boundary by suggesting what i suspect. See if you can help as it is somewhat impacting work.

P.S. : For Bluetooth issue i have got a USB headphone and that i acting as a workaround for a while.
