Windows 10: bluetooth not working properly

Can't get Bluetooth working...

The only thing i can think of to fix if it isnt recognised by linux is the following:

Firstly you have to find out what chipset your bluetooth dongle uses.
Secondly i think your going to have to basically compile your own kernel and include the module for the chipset that your bluetooth dongle uses.
Thirdly depending on if you add it to the kernel or as like built in you will have to add the name of the module to a config file which is used when you boot linux.

If the kernel doesnt have support for your bluetooth dongle then you can either try and find a different copy of the kernel which does or try and find the driver for it.

To recompile your own kernel however requires a whole guide itself , plus different linux distro's will have different kernels with different options and slightly different config files.

Only thing i can suggest is going to www.gentoo.org and reading through their handbook, its basically step by step setting up linux manually, in the handbook there is a page or two on recompiling your kernel for your particular configuration.

 

Bluetooth not working

Upgrade from 8.1 to 10 and wifi, bluetooth do not work properly.

For the Bluetooth issue try the below steps provided and check if it helps. Follow the below steps:

Step 1.

I suggest you to update the Bluetooth driver manually from device manager and check if it helps. Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• Now click on Bluetooth to expand and right click on it
  Bluetooth device and click update.

If the above steps does not helps try below steps:

Step 2.

If the device is not discoverable. Try the below steps and check if this helps you in connecting the Bluetooth headset.

• 
  Press Windows key + R and type
  Services.msc and press Enter.
  
• 
  Search for Bluetooth service and check if it is started.
  
• 
  If the service is not started please right click on the service and click on start and set it to Automatic.
  

If the above steps doesn't help try below information provided step.

Step 3.

If the issue still persist I suggest you to go to the computer manufacturer website download the latest Bluetooth driver and install the same in compatibility mode.

  Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

I would recommend you to run network troubleshooter and let us know the status.
