Windows 10: Bluetooth speaker (HK Go Play) disconnects from audio playback devices after changing...

I have a small problem with Windows bluetooth and I'm hopeless. I have tried everything that was on the internet. From updating, reinstalling drivers, to disconnecting/repairing speaker, changing settings in Device Manager or Devices/Printers, contacting HK support... all without effect.

So my problem is this. I pair the speaker to my laptop, it connects and in Bluetooth settings page it shows Connected - Music, Voice. Then I have 2 devices available, stereo and handsfree. Handsfree works but the quality is very bad like 32kbps. When I change to Stereo device it's ok but immediately after changing volume or playing some audio it disconnects and in the Bluetooth settings page it's only connected, no voice, no music. I have debuged almost everything I thought of with no avail. Have no idea why it is doing that.

Speaker is OK, it works on my Mac without any problems and on my mobile phone as well. Also as a headset but with much better quality than on my Windows laptop.

There is another thing... it was working for me after fumbling with it after 4 days. Have no idea why but after I connected speaker to my Mac temporarily to watch movies, after trying to connect it back to Windows laptop it was again doing the same thing. I was not able to get it working since.

It seems like Windows driver has a problem with reconnecting to the speaker after it was connected to other PC or something like that. Reinstallation/update of drivers didnt help.

Any suggestions?

Bluetooth Speakers pairs, but in the playback sections of the "Sound" menu, the device is disconnected and cannot be enabled

I connected to my Vizio soundbar to play music from it last night and it worked. Today, this is not possible. My computer connects to the Vizio Soundbar but the speakers cannot be used as a playback device.

When I open up the Sound menu and select "Playback," the soundbar is listed but appears as disconnected. When I right click on the device and select "connect" the device simply disconnects (indicated by an audio signal from the speaker itself). If I select
"connect" a second time, the device will reconnect (again indicated by a sound from the speaker) but the device remains shown as disconnected and sound continues to play through the computer speakers.





I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling bluetooth drivers for the speakers and the bluetooth hardware, I have opened services and changed the "Bluetooth Audio Services" startup type to automatic, and I have disconnected and removed the device and repaired
with it multiple times. I've also restarted the computer when necessary. All other drivers on the computer are up to date.

Lastly, I know this is a computer problem and not a speaker problem because my phone can connect to the speaker and play music without any issues. Please help this is super frustrating! Thank you

 

No audio from speakers after disconnecting from bluetooth speaker

Speakers are set as default. The meter (in the audio devices dialog) moves with audio playback, just no sound from speakers since disconnecting bluetooth speaker.

Your Bluetooth speaker might be paired with your PC but not connected. You can try the following steps to manually connect it:

• Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is turned on.
• On the far right of the Windows taskbar, press and hold (right-click)
  Volume, and then select Playback devices.
• On the Playback tab, select the Bluetooth speaker, press and hold (or right-click) it, and then select
  Connect.
• Select your Bluetooth speaker, and then select Set default. Music should play on your Bluetooth speaker now.

Let us know if performing the steps makes any difference.
