Windows 10: Bluetooth speakers never connect on the first try

Hey folks, I have a UE Wonderboom Bluetooth speaker. Every time I try to connect it to my laptop, it always takes at least a good half hour and multiple attempts to connect the speakers.


When I turn on the speakers and turn on Bluetooth on my computer the settings will always say that the speaker is "Connected", but there is no music playing and if I go ino the Sound settings it still shows my speaker as disconnected. Only after a lot of waiting and more than a few tries of turning everything off and back on will it show "Connected music" instead of "Connected" and then play music through the speaker.


I've had this problem now with multiple Bluetooth speakers from different companies, so I know it's a problem with the computer and not the speakers. I have a Broadcom wifi/Bluetooth combo chip and all network/Bluetooth drivers are fully updated.


I've tried just about every solution that's been posted on here and other forums and I'm at my wit's end. I've tried uninstalling the device and re-pairing it, I've made sure all the Bluetooth services are running and configured to start automatically as soon as my computer turns on. I honestly don't know what else there is to do.


Does anyone have any answers?

Bluetooth speaker wont connect to laptop?


I'm having some trouble figuring out what to do here, my Bluetooth speaker wont connect and isn't even discoverable by my laptop. i want to connect my Bluetooth speaker to my laptop but when i go to Bluetooth settings my speaker does not show up on the list of devices. I have un-installed and re-installed the drivers, i've reset the Bluetooth driver management service and Bluetooth support services but still nothing is working, any help would be much appreciated.

just in case you need to know the specs.
speaker: Bush soundbar model-BSB02BT20
laptop: Hp Elitebook 8470p running windows 10

please help!

 

Bluetooth speaker not playing

Hello Tanya,

Your Bluetooth speaker might be paired with your PC but not connected. You can try the following steps to manually connect it:

• Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is turned on.
• On the far right of the Windows taskbar, press and hold (right-click)
  Volume, and then select Playback devices.
• On the Playback tab, select the Bluetooth speaker, press and hold (or right-click) it, and then select
  Connect.
• Select your Bluetooth speaker, and then select Set default. Music should play on your Bluetooth speaker now.

Let us know if performing the steps makes any difference.
