    Bluetooth tethering on Windows to use the internet through the Android device


    Hello, this is Aryan Windows consumer.My concern is to use the internet Bluetooth tethering from my phone Android to Laptop device. The Bluetooth devices from my laptop can connect BT speakers and paired with no issues. If I will go to the Bluetooth devices and right click the Android phone paired on laptop, and choose the connect to the access point or PAN PERSONAL AREA NETWORK, then it shows an error message occurred not connected. This was not working before and I already contacted the chat support for Windows and advise me to post my concern here. I'm seeking help for Windows developer tea

    How do I connect to internet via bluetooth tethering?


    I need to connect my laptop to the internet using my android phone. I've paired both devices and I've enabled bluetooth tethering on my phone. My phone is listed when I navigate from 'join a personal network' in bluetooth options in taskbar but I cannot connect using access point, only direct connection is listed as the option.

    Tethering enabled on Android. Devices paired successfully.

    On Windows - Clicking Taskbar - Bluetooth - Join a PAN - Click Device - Connect using... only shows direct connection... What happened to Bluetooth?

    What's the trick?

    Bluetooth tethering Problem from Android to Win10 PC.

    Hey Karthik,

    I don't know if you will see this...

    But

    I am just a fellow user and was tearing my hair off about the same issue.

    However

    I found a very simple solution and it worked,

    First you need to "forget" and "remove device" from both your android and Windows paired bluetooth device list.

    Once you have removed,

    Turn off your android bluetooth and then go to settings/Tethering and mobile hotspot/turn on " share data connection via bluetooth"

    You will notice, as you enable the bluetooth tethering option on your android, bluetooth will turn on, making your phone bluetooth visible,

    Now go to windows,

    Turn on bluetooth,

    Pair pc to phone

    Go to action centre

    Select " join a personal area network"

    Your phone name will show up,

    Select your phone,

    And this time under "connect using"

    " Access point " will show up and the data will be shared.
