Windows 10: Bluetooth Xbox S controller lags my games.

I know that this is a known issue and i cannot believe that after 4 years its not fixed. Is there some work around for this? If i plug it in with usb it works just fine. I have all the latest drivers installed. My pc is a 3900x and a GTX 1080 on an ASUS TUF Pro. I really want to play Racing games on the TV next to my pc setup but this issue makes it unplayable and the distance from my tv maxes out the length of my cable. Do I really need a 25 dollar Xbox dongle to make this work when my motherboard already has native support for bluetooth?

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

Xbox One Bluetooth controller having issues

So I have an Xbox One Bluetooth controller, with a Bluetooth 4.0 adapter, made by some Chinese company, I think. The issue is that occasionally my controller doesn't respond for a second or so, and that in of itself has created lag spikes in some games that freak out when the controller disconnects even momentarily (I'm looking at you, Bioshock series). Is this a Windows/controller issue, or is it more likely the BT adapter (the latter of which I'm willing to bet on)?
