Windows 10: Boot from USB drive for Inspiron 3543

So I have been trying to reset the password to my Inspiron 3543 using various programs, and making my usb drive a password reset key.


Right now, using the program Daossoft Windows Password Rescuer, I have followed the necessary instructions and burnt the files to the usb drive, so I should have a working password reset usb.


However, when I try to boot from the usb by changing the order of booting I always get some error like "boot device not recognized" or something along those lines. I assume I am booting from the usb incorrectly because I have tried other programs as well and they all gave the same error; is there someone out there able to give me the direct instructions to booting from a usb for an Inspiron 3543? The help is very much appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Booting from USB on x38 Motherboard, NOT?

See sys specs... ASUS ROG x38 motherboard, flashed to x48 Rampage.

In BIOS under "Boot Device Priority", I select and of the 3 boot device slots, and no where do I find an option for USB, these are the only options in each:

• 1st floopy drive
• HDD: P0-WDC WD2500KS
• ATAPI CD-ROM
• Disabled

Is there a place in the BIOS to enable boot from USB?

It's AMI, says v02.61 on the BIOS screen

 

Booting from USB on x38 Motherboard, NOT?

Typically the USB should be listed under the hard drive boot order. Set your "Boot Device Priority" to HDD first, then set the hard drive boot order to the USB stick first.

 

Dell Inspiron 3543 wake from sleep issue.

Below is my laptop details

Laptop Model: Dell inspiron 3543

OS: Win 10 Pro 64Bit (ver 1803) Build: 17134.345

BIOS ver: 05.06.05

Processor: i3

Ram : 8GB

HDD: 1TB

I am facing a issue related to wake from sleep, where when i put my laptop to sleep either manually or auto sleep set to 60min but when i try to wake it by opening the lid or pressing the power button there is no display ( this scenario is for short sleep
duration).

The 2nd scenario is overnight sleep where i manually put the laptop to sleep and morning when i try to wake the laptop the battery is drained or same as the 1st scenario no display.

In both the cases, i have to long press the power button ( Hard restart).

As per my observation, it might have happened after the recent Windows update KB4462919, KB4462930.

Steps taken to rectify the issue:

• BIOS Update - Speedstep disabled in BIOS and Fast startup from Power Option.
• Power option reset
• Hybrid sleep off and on
• Hibernate off and on
• Sleep Duration change
  
• Allow this computer to wake from sleep WIFI and Ethernet Disabled
• Disable modern/connected standby HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power --- CsEnabled set to 0
