3. You can only follow below instructions if the Dism /image:C:\ /Get-Packages command display install time for the Windows updates if it does found the latest Windows update and uninstall it.

Uninstall Windows Update Offline With Dism Command

Please boot your computer with Windows Setup Media and from Windows Recovery Environment start the Command Prompt.

Displays information about all packages that are installed by executing below command.

    Code: Dism /image:E:\ /Get-Packages
Found all Windows updates which you can identify by there KB number and take note of the Package Identity entry update (Package) name you want to uninstall.

Execute following command to uninstall the update this command will uninstall KB4053577 update :

Code: dism /image:E:\ /Remove-Package /PackageNameBoot loop after update no safe mode option-repair fails- restore fails :package_for_KB4053577~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.0
Please replace partition letter E: with Windows installed partition letter. When computer boots into Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) environment the drive letter assign to Windows partition may not be C: drive letter because Windows 7, 8 , 8.1 and 10 creates a separate system partition when it's installed from scratch. The system partition contains boot files WinRE assigns the system partition the C: drive letter and the Windows installed partition will be assign any other drive letter usually D: drive letter is assign to Windows installed partition. The Bcdedit /enum | find "osdevice" command can be use to find out the drive letter of the Windows installed partition the output of the Bcdedit command is similar to this osdevice partition=D:. The drive letter after partition= is the drive letter of the Windows partition.

  7. There is a problem i don't see Users and Program Files folders something telling me you are upgrading to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709.

You have a Windows.old and Windows.old(1) folders which are use to upgrade to latest version of Windows 10.

Execute below command to find out creation data of the Windows.old and Windows.old(1) folders and use my tutorial below to manually revert back to previous version of Windows 10. Even do tutorial is about downgrading to Windows 7 from Windows 10 it will work for downgrading to previous version of Windows 10.

I did follow the instructions but never saw Recovery where it was located in the images in the instruction set. Nothing I am aware of that I did should have resulted in the nested folders. Is it possible this it the source of the problem?

  14. You have copied the system files into E:\Windows folder move and replace those folders stored in root of E:\ partition.

  15. I just seen your post you need to copy folders inside the Windows.old folder to E:\ partition but make sure they are not empty.
