Hello - any help would be appreciated. During the installation process of the updates an error occurred after restart, but the computer rebooted and made it to the login screen. The keyboard stopped working, but was able to use the on-screen keyboard to log in. I reviewed the software update, and the system seemed to communicate that the update had installed fine. Rebooted, but the laptop keyboard still not working. Tried to uninstall/reinstall/update the keyboard driver - keyboard still not working. Tried to uninstall the recent update, and then reinstall the update. Keyboard still not working.


Currently typing this out on the laptop on the MacOS - so it's fine on that side. Keyboard not working on the windows side. Hoping there's an approach that won't require a reinstall of the OS. Any advise?

my keyboard will not work. i can use my mouse and the on screen keyboard. things ive tried:

• reinstalled the keyboard driver and it didnt work
• update the driver
• reinstall windows update
• removed upper and lower filters in registry
• turned filter keys off

my computer is an asus x502c

Drivers to printer damage Windows system files. Windows 10 - 1809 update [KB4467708] x64.

• Windows 10 - 1809 update [KB4467708] x64-based System.
  
  Clean system, drivers installed for Panasonic printer [Multi-Function Laser (All-in-One)] (model "KX-MB1500").
  
  Drivers from the official site.
  
  Driver version - 1.13 for Windows 8/10.
  
  Last update - 30.nov.2012.

• I install the driver, reboot the system and the "gear" (settings) in the start menu does not work. When I click on the "gear", the settings window opens and instantly closes (without loading). Microsoft support "Get help" using remote access concluded that
  you need to download the installer windows 10 and reinstall the system while preserving all the files and applications. Settings work, but the driver stopped working.
  

BEFORE update 1809 everything worked! From the very beginning windows 10.

Are there any solutions to this problem? Is there a "universal" driver for the printer?

Or the only way out is to install a second system, perhaps Linux or Ubuntu?

I do not think that Microsoft will make concessions and fix this problem.

 

Win 10 1803 to 1809 update

Good day one and all.

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1809 a while back, but my laptop/notebook running Win 10 version 1803 (As of a Check for updates today 15 Nov 2018 6:30 AM) still hasn't updated to 1809.

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1809 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Updates in general on the laptop are coming through as available, for example, yesterday (14th Nov 2018) the "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64 based Systems (KB4467702)" arrived and was installed okay.

Any thoughts, suggestions?
