Windows 10: Booting from a CD with a Gigabyte motherboard

I am trying to set up my bios so I can boot start using a CD. Can anyone help please? Thanks

Windows 10 would not install without the betabios (F2J) update on the bios motherboard.

After the update, automatic updates will not install Windows 10 automatically, you must use the MediaCreationTool X64 or X32 depending on your previous OS.

Windows 10 will not boot unless changes are made in the BIOS screen of your Gigabyte MB:

OS type: other

Boot mode select: UEFI and Legacy

Storage Boot Option Control: Legacy First

other PCI device rom: Legacy OpRom

under Peripherals:

onchip sata: Native IDE

Without these changes, Windows 10 boots into a redundant cycle of diagnostic and repair attempts. Make sure your Bios is the F2J before installing Windows 10, and the BIOS changes are made prior to running the MediaCreationTool.

 

Gigabyte motherboards and Windows 10

Less than 6 months ago I bought a CyberpowerPC that was pre-installed with Windows 10 with a Gigabyte motherboard. During the initial setup I kept getting an error message stating that the driver did not release due to failure. After going on several sites
for support, the consensus was that the Gigabyte software was not imperative because Windows 10 would automatically install the drivers with its updates. Well within three months I started to get blue screens, critical errors and the computer became increasingly
slow. Eventually I was not able to boot at all as it would go to a black screen and get stuck. I called technical support and was advised to reset the computer to factory. Did as instructed am now able to boot the computer, but once again the drivers are not
installing. Unfortunately I'm not a professional tech and have tried everything I can do within my expertise and the suggestions I have found on the message boards but with no success. I welcome any feedback from others experiencing issues with the Gigabyte
download center and drivers that fail to install. Per the post above please find the specific specs for my computer below:

The list you are requesting is a bit long, so just a few basic details...

This machine works quite well with Win 10 RTM 10240, whether from a upgrade of Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (have done both}, or a clean install of 10240...

It hasn't always been that way with some of the Previews, but is stable and performs well at the moment.

The machine for the most part is running drivers installed by Win 10 RTM, or that were retained through the upgrade... Some were original Gigabyte drivers, but a lot were using the hardware manufacturers drivers.
