    Booting laptop


    It has been 20 days now since i have this issue on my brand new Ilife air plus celeron 6 GB,

    Following i don't know which update i sarrted having a problem of a black screen with a bunch of gibberish nonsense to me that ends with something called startup.nsh and i have to writr EXIT for windows to boot.

    I searched the web all i can find is similar stuff but not the same, my black sceen does not sat anything about EFI. Here is a picture

    Hi Elda,

    If the boot sequence didn't work, then we suggest try running the laptop in safe mode. To do this, here's a few steps to follow:

    • Power down your laptop.
    • Turn it back on again.
    • When you turn it back on, press F8 repeatedly until the power on option appeared.
    • If you see the boot option "Safe Mode with Networking", choose that option.
    • See if you can boot up in Safe mode.
