    So yesterday i was getting on my pc, it booted up to a “preparing automatic system repair thingy whatever” it got to the “checking your computer“ thing, sorry i cant remember and then i get this error “D:\windows\system32\logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt” i tried to restart my pc, same thing. So i did some research and i found this page. I can do every command on there but not “bootrec.exe /fixboot” i tried everything, wouldnt work. Tried going to safe mode, nope. I even tried to resetting my pc, nope. And the sad part is i dont even have a backup. And i still cant get it to work today

    Bootrec /fixboot Access is denied error

    I encountered winlog.exe missing/corrupted issue during laptop startup. Have googled up solutions in repairing with USB bootable drive but did not help.

    There's other recommendations to enter command prompt and enter the few bootrec commands. However upon entering Bootrec /fixboot....it stated access is denied.

    Additionally there were additionals steps to follow but i still couldn't get this Bootrec /fixboot command accessible.

    Anyone know why and what are other steps?

    These are the commands and how to run them. No reason you should get Access denied.
