Windows 10: Both My Alt Keys Not Working

I've been using this laptop ASUS Vivobook for months. I played games did my assignments when all of a sudden my alt keys are not working.

I restarted my laptop but it still had the same issue. I opened OSK, it wouldn't work when I tap the alt key, it does work when I use my cursor and click

on the alt key on the OSK. I've tried many different troubleshooting, such as modifying Registry Values and deleting the keyboard system and restarting the laptop. Please help.

My alt key, both of them, not working. It happened all of a sudden and didn't install any software recently. And I am worried about editing registry files.

Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

  Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)

  And check if it works
  

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

Both my alt keys have stopped working

I am using a windows 10 laptop for over 2 years now and this problem came up like a week ago. Both my alt keys have stopped working completely, I can't use alt shortcuts like alt+f4, alt+tab etc. I tried resetting my PC, didn't work. The alt key on the on
screen keyboard is working, though...

If someone can tell me how to solve this problem, it would be a great help.
