Windows 10: Bottom of screen glitch

as seen in the attached image, i have had an issue with the task bar being distorted/ covered by a block of colour. At first they were green lines, the cortana pannel had green writing and everything was still visible. Then some pink lines were showing on the right side of the screen. Yesterday i turned tge conputer on and it has deteriorated to the point where my task bar is no longer visible. No other issues that i know of aside from the bottom of the screen. Tried using the snipping tool to capture the issue but the screen grab came back clear.

i have no idea what to fo, so would greatly appreciate any help possible.

How to change the Screen Timeout settings

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  Right click on the desktop and click on Personalization.
  
• 
  Click on Lock screen
  
• 
  On the bottom of the screen click on Screen Timeout.
  
• 
  Under screen select the Time period accordingly.

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.
