Box arrived safely, with the exception of one SATA cable

I built a box for a friend of mine, used it for a week and shipped it to FL - specs below.

The box arrived safely, with the exception of one SATA cable, which had come loose.
OR - it wasn't properly seated by me.
After a day or so of use, he tells me the machine is very slow - I ask him for a screen shot of the Task Master and
he sends me the one on the left below. Slowness explained.
I walk him through the BIOS settings and both the Clock speed and Sync all Cores settings are exactly where I had set them.
Reboot, and all seems to be OK for awhile, then I get the screen shot on the right below.
If I recall correctly, I had an similar issue when I had it, it slowed down and the BIOS setting were NOT correct when I checked them. I reset them and all remained OK. At least I think it is the same machine. I built/rebuilt 4 boxes this year and as well as I track where each piece of hardware is, I never made notes of issues I may have had.
Before we go any further, I decided to come her and ask for suggestions. I have no clue why this is happening.
I think there is a recent update to the BIOS - updated my machine yesterday to 1401 - his is on 1101.
So guys/gals - all you have to do is help a guy in the north help a guy in the south - *Eek

either a hardware issue or a software issue

    Hi,

This issue can be caused by driver problems or software that is not compatible with Windows 10.

For us to better assist you, please answer the following questions:

    • Can you still boot your computer normally?
    • Have you made any software or hardware changes on your computer prior to the issue?
    • What do you mean by "it will begin to give me the error reference by pointer"?
Can you tell us the exact error message?

As an initial troubleshooting step, we recommend following the solution provided on this
article to resolve Blue Screen errors on Windows 10.

Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds
